Dragon Roses Tak Gentar Pasukan Lelaki

Sebuah atrikal mengenai pemain paintball wanita ditulis oleh NOR HUSAINI NOR MAJID yang disiarkan dalam MyMetro bertajuk Tak gentar pasukan lelaki.

WALAUPUN sering digelar pasukan sayur atau botol kicap yang memperlekehkan kemampuan mereka, sekumpulan gadis tidak pernah patah semangat untuk terus berjuang menentang pasukan lelaki yang tampak lebih hebat.

Dragon Roses boleh diumpamakan seperti sejambak bunga mawar di luar padang, tetapi bertukar menjadi naga liar apabila beraksi di padang.

Kumpulan yang ditubuhkan pada 2008 oleh Persatuan Paintball Kedah (KPA) itu diwakili tujuh pemain wanita dari pelbagai latar belakang seperti guru tadika, pelajar, pembantu tadbir serta usahawan.

Pengurus pasukan yang juga pemain tengah pasukan Dragon Roses, Nurfadila Wahida atau lebih dikenali sebagai Dilla mula berjinak-jinak dengan sukan lasak paintball itu dengan mengikuti suami.

Sejak itu hatinya mula terpaut dengan permainan lasak dan tangkas itu, menyebabkan dia membuka perniagaan peralatan sukan itu.

Dilla berkata, dia bersama suami menjadi lebih aktif dalam sukan paintball selepas membuka kedai mereka beberapa tahun lalu.

"Sehingga kin saya menghabiskan lebih RM50,000 untuk sukan ini, termasuk pembelian peralatan seperti marker, palet serta pakaian. Selain itu, banyak duit digunakan untuk meningkatkan mutu pasukan seperti latihan dan makanan," katanya.

Sementara itu, kapten Dragon Roses, Nurshamira Shohaimi, 22, berkata disebabkan semua pemainnya wanita, pasukannya menghadapi banyak serangan mental daripada pasukan lawan.

Menurutnya, sebelum permainan bermula lagi pasukan lawan terutama yang semua ahlinya lelaki, melancarkan perang saraf untuk menjatuhkan semangatnya serta ahli Dragon Roses.

"Biasanya sebelum perlawanan bermula, pasukan lain menggelar kami sayur, lauk, kicap dan sebagainya untuk menjatuhkan semangat kami.

"Namun kami bukan sayur, lauk atau kicap yang boleh mereka ratah begitu saja apabila berdepan di padang," katanya.

Dia yang lebih mesra dengan panggilan Myra berkata, pasukannya lebih bersedia menghadapi serangan mental selain serangan ketika perlawanan.

"Jika kami tidak kuat daripada segi mental apabila diserang, pasti kami akan kalah sebelum perlawanan bermula lagi.

"Bagi kami, biarlah pasukan lain menyerang kami dengan pelbagai gelaran, yang penting ialah perlawanan dalam padang dan kami akan buktikan kami pasukan mantap serta kompetitif," katanya.

Seorang lagi ahli pasukan, Veerat a/p Senap yang masih belajar di Universiti Utara Malaysia mula terbabit dengan sukan paintball sejak 2008.

Veerat atau Vee berkata, sukan paintball juga sama seperti sukan lain di mana atlit perlu menjalani latihan secukupnya untuk menjadi pasukan digeruni.

Dia berkata, pasukannya berlatih keras setiap Sabtu dan Ahad untuk memantapkan teknik serta meningkatkan persefahaman di kalangan ahli.

"Setiap minggu kami berkumpul untuk latihan di tempat ditetapkan jurulatih. Latihan biasanya dimulakan dengan larian sejauh 2.4 kilometer (km) hingga tiga km untuk persediaan menghadapi pertandingan," katanya.

Veerat berkata, antara latihan paling digeruni setiap ahli pasukan ialah apabila perlu lari pecut dan mengelak ditembak jurulatih.

"Jurulatih menunggu di belakang dan mula menembak, kami pula perlu lari menyelamatkan diri seolah-olah ditembak musuh ketika perlawanan.

"Latihan ini lebih teruk daripada ketika bermain kerana sewaktu perlawanan, kami boleh menyorok di belakang bunker (tempat berlindung) tapi latihan ini dibuat di padang menyebabkan kami terpaksa sentiasa berlari," katanya.

Seorang lagi ahli pasukan, Siti Nurazimah Abd Rahim atau Axie berkata, selain latihan fizikal, mereka berlatih secara teknikal bagi meningkatkan kualiti pasukan serta kemantapan.

Antara latihan teknikal yang penting serta sering dititikberat ketika latihan ialah teknik bunkering (berlindung), sliding (gelongsor) serta diving (terjun).

"Teknik ini semua sangat penting kerana ketika perlawanan semua skil ini mesti digunakan untuk mengelak 'musuh' serta menyelamatkan diri daripada ditembak pemain lawan.

"Selain itu, latihan ini sangat penting kerana jika tidak dilatih dengan betul, ahli pasukan mungkin mengalami kecederaan ketika bermain, sekali gus menyebabkan kekalahan," katanya.

Selain itu, pasukan Dragon Roses turut berlatih strategi permainan seperti line view (garis penglihatan) serta line fire (garis tembakan).

"Line view penting kerana kita dapat tahu kedudukan lawan selain tahu ke arah mana untuk mensasarkan serangan, selain itu strategi yang betul membolehkan kita mendapat kelebihan melihat musuh.

"Sementara itu, line fire pula untuk mengetahui ke mana arah tembakan kerana ia dapat memberi tembakan efektif untuk mematikan musuh kerana palet tidak keluar dalam garis lurus," katanya.

Menurut Azie, pasukan Dragon Roses kini berusaha memantapkan serta meningkatkan mutu pasukan untuk mencapai tahap lebih tinggi pada 2011 serta melenyapkan gelaran sayur yang sering mereka terima.

Satu lagi artikal yang ada kaitan dengan paintball tersiar di dalam Kosmo, iaitu tentang Puteri bongsu KDYMM Tuanku Sultan Kedah, Puteri Intan Safinaz yang mula berminat untuk manin paintball. Artikal yang ditulis oleh Norlida Akmar Idros ialah temubual beliau dengan Baginda Tuanku Puteri. Saya petikkan perenggan ringkas yang menyebut tentang penglibatan Baginda dengan permainan ini.

Mengenali lebih dekat puteri berjiwa rakyat ini, Tunku Puteri ada cara untuk mengisi masa lapang selepas penat melaksanakan tugas-tugas rasmi.

“Saya minat mengisi masa lapang dengan membaca, bermain golf, berbasikal dan yang terbaru, saya aktif dalam permainan paintball,” tuturnya.

Menurut Tunku Puteri, beliau masih baru dalam sukan itu.

“Saya tidaklah pandai sangat main paintball tapi ia memang menyeronokkan. Ia satu cara yang baik untuk berinteraksi dengan golongan remaja.

“Bagi saya, jika mahu memahami keperluan remaja, kita perlu melibatkan diri dengan mereka dalam sebarang aktiviti termasuk sukan,” katanya yang kini banyak membaca buku berkaitan sejarah negeri Kedah, kepimpinan, pertahanan serta ketenteraan.

Untuk benar-benar merasai keseronokan aktiviti ekstrem itu, tiada keistimewaan diberikan kepadanya walaupun bergelar kerabat diraja. Sebaliknya, permainan paintball itu berlangsung seperti biasa.

“Ada peserta yang tanya bolehkah tembak Tunku Puteri, saya kata boleh asalkan ikut peraturan. Apa lagi, habislah badan saya lebam-lebam terkena tembakan,” cerita beliau tersenyum.

HALATUJU SUKAN PAINTBALL DI MALAYSIA

Saya telah berkesempatan menghadiri sesi pendengaran awam tentang permohonan pendaftaran dua persatuan untuk menjadi badan sukan paintball peringkat kebangsaan.

Hasil daripada keputusan yang dibuat bersama oleh para hadirin dan juga pihak Pesuruhjaya Sukan, maka dipersetujui bahawa satu Jawatankuasa Pemandu ditubuhkan untuk merancang satu Mesyuarat Agong dalam masa terdekat.

Perdebatan juga telah berlaku dalam Facebook dan juga blog menyokong dan menunjukkan rasa tidak puas hati. Beberapa blog yang menulis tentang paintball juga memuatkan posting perdebatan.

Melalui Facebook, saya membaca apa yang saya post di bawah yang saya rasa merupakan satu mesej yang positif ke arah penubuhan Persatuan Paintball Kebangsaan.

Dear Brothers of Johor Ballerz,

This is to inform you that we are going to have a National body for the sports we love most. I know we have waited for this quite long and I hope you are ready for this. Once we complete the registration process and the 1st Annual General Meeting (AGM), the Committee will focus not only developing the sports professionally, but a lot of issues which has troubled us for so many years will be addressed accordingly inclusive of pb development in Msia, markers, safety aspects for all parties involved (players / field owners), tournaments etc....

Finally we have the Body which will aid us to voice issues to the Government and at the same time will help the government by proposing the best way of how we can bring the game we love to a new era in Malaysia. I think you should know by now the New Steering Committee formed during the hearing on the 25 February 2010, and not only that, I also think you have heard a lot of things since then. I respect your thoughts and opinions but I hope you can stand down and give the New Steering Committee a chance to do their job.

You might think the way we formed the New Steering Committee was not in good manner, but it was not a one-man decision. Majority that came that day wanted a new Committee rather than the one proposed. I hope you understand and I am very sure Johor Ballerz are wise enough to judge. Thank you for your time.

Satu sesi Pendengaran awam telah diadakan di Dewan Perdana, Institut Sukan Negara pada 25 Februari 2010. Sesi tersebut ialah untuk mendapatkan persetujuan dari pengiat sukan paintball apabila pejabat Pesuruhjaya Sukan menolak permohonan pendaftaran Malaysian Paintball Association dan Malaysian Paintball Federation.

Selepas pembentangan oleh kedua-dua pihak bagi meraih sokongan agar para pengiat paintball memilih pertubuhan mereka sebagai badan yang memayungi sukan paintball, akhirnya hadirin bersetuju untuk memilih nama Malaysian Paintball Federation tetapi menolak Jawatankuasa yang diccadangkan oleh MPF. Sebaliknya kesemua wakil dari negeri yang hadir dan juga kelab-kelab paintball yang mendaftar dengan Pesuruhjaya Sukan dilantik untuk menduduki Jawatankuasa Pro tem MPF. Senarai Jawatankuasa Pro-tem ialah:

Just a brief explanation as to what paintballing is all about. This is a sport whereby one shoots his opponent using a paintball gun that has compressed air in and is loaded with balls or pellets filled with paint this is why one needs to wear the appropriate paintball clothing. This sport is becoming extremely popular worldwide.

Now wearing the correct clothing is essential when playing paintball as this is far safer as well as makes the game more fun. The clothing worn does not have to be state of the art clothes or does not need to be expensive either.

There are some people who just wear shorts and T shits, which is so not a good idea. Then of course you also get those that are in with the state of the art fashions and wear brand name clothing to make them look cool and slick. But they are certainly not any better at playing paintball than those just wear necessary protective clothing.

The whole objective behind paintball is that the player just wears the right clothing and the major factor is that you are covered from head to toe. The paint from the paintballs has been known to discolor light colored clothing so when making a choice rather go for dark color clothing.

Always choose comfortable clothes as tight clothes will restrict your movements, and make sure the clothes are kept for paintballing only, as you really get very dirty when playing a game.

Camouflage colours are sensible in that they blend in with your immediate surroundings as well as concealing your whereabouts in the bushes. Long sleeves avoid the possibilities of your getting badly bruised should you be hit by a paintball. And another protection for your neck is a baseball cap worn backwards.

A face mask is you’re first and foremost priority, and should be of a really good make and quality; being shot in the face with a paintball can cause some serious damage to the face. Good strong closed shoes are also essential and wearing sandals is a definite no.

All these stipulated paintball clothing items as well as gloves will aid you from getting hurt as well as also helps when you are rolling, sliding or crouching during a game. Safety is the main aspect of the sports of paintball. All field operators stress on this aspect on their premise because any untoward accident that happens will tarnish the image of the sport and might lead to action taken by the aithorities. Such had happen in Germany when the government is looking towards banning paintball due to misuse of the paintball marker in public. Definitely we paintballer in Malaysia wouldn't want this to happen. Even though paintball sport uses "air" propelled markers to shoot paint pellets and can leave blue black bruises on the body, it is still one of the safest sports compared with others.

There was a picture posted at Facebook and Angel Bear started the ball rolling by leaving a comment on the practice of the poser pointing fully assembled marker with the naked barrel to her mouth . Of course paintballers will instantly notice that this pose is a real dangeruous act by anyone. But to her it is just fun doing it. Fun or not, NEVER commit into any dangeruous acts. Paintballers are just normal people who play paintball and not stuntman. So never do stunt jobs.

Paintball operator's will usually advice newbies about safety of paintball and the first thing mention is about the safety of using marker. Players are always cautioned of not putting on barrel socks whenever outside of the playing arena and whenever there are players without facemask inside the playing area.

What will happen if he/she accidently pull the trigger? Just look at her finger on the trigger. If the marker slips a bit, her finger will accidently pull the trigger. What a dangeruous "stunt". NEVER! NEVER! NEVER pose with a naked barrel without a face mask and outside the playing area.

Performance kat Melaka buat diriku agak hambar. Aku tahu permainan dalam 4 game yang aku terlibat tidak seperti yang diharapkan. Macam biasa semua game main back left. Ini kerana aku kidal. Sudah pasti selesa berada di sebelah kiri dan tugas aku untuk lane pada flank. Selalunya untuk jaga snake atau dorito.

Berbeza semasa main dalam circuit pertama, di mana aku merupakan antara player yang boleh dikatakan sebagai last standing man tetapi kat Melaka ni aku orang pertama yang eliminated. Beberapa game tidak sempat isi loader, dah kena hit. Masa kat circuit pertama dulu, ada juga sekali aku dapat capture flag, tetapi memandangkan dayatahan tidak begitu tinggi pasa masa itu, aku terpaksa serahkan flag kepada player lain untuk lari balik ke starting gate dan hang. Tapi puas, kerana dapat mengambil flag pihak lawan.

First game main dengan Sniper. Posisi biasa, main left back dalam field 3 dan mengawal lane dorito. Inilah game aku yang paling baik kerana dapat eliminate right back lawan pada mirror temple aku. Game pertama Yakuza menang.

Second game menentang Jackals, aku tidak main.

Third game main dengan Ying Yang juga di Field 3. Kali ini pasukan aku tidak bernasib baik. Sedang aku hendak isi loader, tiba-tiba ref datang dan memberitahu 3 on one. Alamak, game belum pun sampai 5 minit dah kena keluar. Rupa-rupanya kena penalize sebab salah seorang pemain dikatakan cuba mengesat paint, walhal dia memeriksa kesan terkena tembakan pellet. Pasukan Ying Yang pun terkejut kerana game habis terlalu awal dan mereka datang tanya apa yang terjadi. Ini kerana pasukan Ying Yang dan pasukan aku Yakuza telah skirmish bersama beberapa kali dan mereka juga tahu kekuatan pasukan kami. Jadi apabila game tamat terlalu awal mereka pun terkejut.

Yakuza tewas lagi game keempat. Sorry tak ingat nama pasukan yang kami lawan. Nantilah kalau dapat maklumat akan update. Kami menang game ini. Untuk game kelima dan keenam, kami terpaksa main back to back. Selesai game ke lima, terus dipanggil utuk game keenam.

Satu kepuasan bagi kami ialah dapat main di center court untuk last game. Bagi kami main kat center court macam satu penghormatan sebab kat field ni, diberikan kepada Div 1 dan Div 2. Untuk game ini Yakuza mendapat tips dari Shamin kerana mereka main kat sini. Aku juga dapat tip yang istemewa kerana aku ditugaskan menjaga snake. Game on, aku terus ke temple dan berkubu di situ. Selepas mengisi loader, tup-tup tangan aku terkena hot. Out. Alamak. So left sudah roboh, dan kapten masuk ambil alih. Dia pun kena hot masa berada di snake. Kami tewas.

Keputusannya Yakuza hanya menang dua perlawanan sahaja dan tidak mencukupi mata untuk mara ke sweet 16. Kami hanya menduduki tempat ke 22 daripada 31 pasukan. Satu kemerosotan dari segi pencapaian kali ini.

Walaupun tewas, kekeciwaan aku sedikit terubat kerana diinterview oleh satu pasukan produksi yang aku diberitahu dari pbextreme.tv. Maybe kerana aku pemain paling veteran pada masa itu menyebabkan mereka memilih. Sememangnya mereka memberitahu bahawa cameraman akan ikut aku pada keesokannya tetapi malang, pasukan kami tidak dapat mara ke pusingan seterusnya.

Tahniah kepada My NPL kerana penganjuran yang lancar dan berjaya khususnya kepada tournament director, En. Sofian yang suaranya boleh kedengaran sepanjang tournament.

Kpd organiser, cuma satu yang aku rasa kurang selesa. Enforcement DI LARANG MEROKOK tidak dilaksanakan dengan tegas. Berdasarkan pengalaman sewaktu event pertama dahulu, players dilarang merokok di players paddock dan disediakan di tempat khas untuk mereka agar tidak menganggu keselesaan pemain yang tidak merokok. Pada waktu itu aku rasa cukup selesa berada dalam players paddock. Kali ini aku dapati pemain boleh merokok dengan bebas di players paddock dan juga officials / crew ada yang merokok di dalam kawasan persediaan.

Tobacco and sports does not match. Adalah hak bagi individu hendak merokok tetapi kenalah juga bertimbang rasa dengan mereka yang tidak merokok.

Sah!, pasukan Yakuza akan mengambil bahagian dalam My NPL Sirkit 4 yang akan diadakan di Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka pada 1 dan 2 Ogos 2009. Ini merupakan kali kedua Yakuza mengambil bahagian dalam My NPL setelah sirkit pertama dahulu. Hari Sabtu lalu mereka mengadakan latihan terakhir sebelum kejohanan.

Ramai pemain paintball kini pasti menyedari bahawa My-NPL Sirkit ke 4 akan berlangsung di Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka pada 1 dan 2 Ogos 2009. Sudah tentu pasukan-pasukan yang akan mengambil bahagian sedang membuat persiapan rapi untuk tournament tersebut.

Persiapan untuk seseorang atlet mangambil bahagian dalam sesuatu sukan termasuklah persediaan fizikal, teknikal, taktikal dan psikologikal. Pemberatan persediaan-persediaan ini bergantung pada masa atau fasa dalam peroidisasi latihan pasukan masing-masing.

Pada masa ini boleh dikatakan pasukan atau pemain sedang berada di dalam fasa pertandingan. Jadi pada masa ini pasukan hendaklah lebih menumpukan terhadapa persediaan taktikal dan psikologikal. Tidak ada gunanya membuat latihan teknikal yang banyak atau memperkenalkan kemahiran yang baru kerana ia akan menjejaskan performance kelak. Di samping itu, pemain hendaklah mengekalkan atau maintain tahap kecergasan, kerana sudahagak terlambat untuk melakukan latihan untuk meningkatkannya.

Salah satu aspek yang juga perlu diberikan penekanan ialah pemakanan. Setuju atau tidak pemakanan memainkan peranan yang penting dalam performance seseorang atlet. Ingat tak alasan yag diberikan oleh pasukan Sepak Takraw selepas tewas dalam kejohanan baru-baru ini. "Tidak mengambil sarapan pagi." Walaupun ianya satu alasan, tetapi sedikit sebanyak ada juga kebenarannya tetapi bukanlah sarapan pagi pada hari pertandingan. Ini kerana kesan pemakanan terhadap tubuh mengambil masa sebab makanan yang kita ambil itu perlu diproses dalam apa yang dipanggil sebagai Kitaran Krebb. Oleh itu makanan yang kita ambil yang mengandungi karbohidrat dan protin serta lain-lain nutrien pada hari perlawanan tidak banyak membantu dari segi membekalkan tenaga untuk hari tersebut. Tenaga yang digunakan adalah yang diambil dari ATP yang tersimpan dalam mitochondria hasil daripada pemecahan glukos. Oleh itu tabiat pemakanan yang baik khusus untuk pemain paintball hendaklah dipraktikkan mulai minggu ini. Apa yang kita makan pada hari perlawanan bersifat akan menampung kekosongan glukos yang telah digunakan sebagai tenaga.

Ini samalah juga dengan amalan memakan pisang pada hari perlawanan. Ia hanya memberikan kesan psikologikal kepada kita tetapi potassium dalam pisang itu akan menggantikan potassium yang telah sedia tersimpan dan digunakan semasa pertandingan.

Semasa pertandingan, pemain akan kehilangan banyak air melalui peluh dan juga pernafasan yang tinggi. Air ini perlu diganti dengan serta merta. Oleh itu pemain hendaklah minum air yang ada elektrolit kerana peluh itu juga mengakibatkan kelihangan elektrolit. Elak dari minum minuman bersirap kerana ia akan menganggu sistem darah dan penghantaran oksigen. Pankreas akan memberikan isyarat yang salah kepada tubuh dengan menghentikan pengeluaran insulin kerana ia mengesan sudah ada paras gula yang banyak dalam darah. Kurang meminum air juga akan menyebabkan kepekatan darah meningkat dan ini menjejaskan sistem penghantaran oksigen.

Kecederaan Leher

Antara bahagian tubuh yang agak terdedah bagi seorang pemain paintball ialah kawasan leher. Biasanya pemain jarang memakai apa-apa perlindungan pada kawasan ini walaupun ia terdedah kepada terkena tembakan pellet sebab berada pada kawasan sasaran utama. Leher juga adalah merupakan kawasan yang mudah cedera kerana lembut dan lapisan otot tidak tebal.

Leher kita mempunyai tulang-tulang yang lembut seperti Thyroid Cartilage dan beberapa organ yang penting seperti kelenjar tiroid dan juga peti suara. Hentakan yang kuat berisiko untuk mencederakan juga organ-organ dalaman ini.

Untuk mengelakkan kawasan leher terkena tembakan pellet, pemain boleh memakai neck protector yang boleh dibeli dari outlet-outlet menjual barangan paintball.

Catu lagi cara ialah dengan berada pada posisi yang rendah (keep low profile).

Paintball Di World Games 2009

Pasukan paintball German telah muncul sebagai juara dalam World Games 2009 yang berlangsung di Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Sukan paintball yang diadakan pada 17-19 Julai 2009, adalah merupakan sukan pertunjukan yang buat kali pertama diadakan dalam World Games. Lapan pasukan mengambil bahagian iaitu Australia (SWAT), Canada (Carnage), Germany(Ramstiein Instinct), Iran (Datis), Malaysia (Delta Rovers), Singapura (Red Sevens), Jepun (Ku) dan Taiwan (Storm). Pertandngan dijalankan secara 5 manrace to format 3.

Ranking dari permainan ialah seperti berikut:

2. Australia

3. Iran

4. Jepun

Pasukan dari Amerika Syarikat Ironmen dan Tampa Bay Damage yang sepatutnya mengambil bahagian tidak dapat hadir. Sambutan dari penonton dikatakan amat memberansangkan dan jika segala-galanya berjalan dengan baik, sukan paintball mungkin akan menjadi salah satu daripada sukan yang dipertandingkan dalam World Games 2010.

Latihan Adaptasi Gelanggang

Minggu lepas pasukan yang aku wakili Yakuza telah mengadakan satu lagi latihan sebagai persiapan untuk mengambil bahagian dalam My-NPL sirkit keempat yang akan berlangsung di Dataran Mahkota, Melaka. Sikrit ini merupakan kali kedua Yakuza mengambil bahagian setelah tidak menyertai sirkit 2 dan3 di Johor Bharu dan Kuantan.

Pertandingan di Melaka merupakan satu pertandingan yang penting buat Yakuza kerana ia boleh dijadikan langkah ke arah memperbaiki ranking sebelum tibanya sirkit kelima di Petaling Jaya kelak. Memperbaiki ranking adalah penting kerana ia akan merealisasikan harapan untuk bermain dalam Division 3 di tahun 2010. Sekurang-kurangnya Yakuza boleh mencipta nama dan menjadi pasukan yang disebut-sebut dan bukannya sekadar memasukki permainan secara tengelam timbul.

Pada latihan yang lepas beberapa orang pelajar dari HELP juga turut berlatih dan mereka merupakan kali pertama bermain paintball. Semoga kehadiran mereka itu akan meramaikan lagi pemain sukan lasak ini.

Tumpuan latihan pada hari itu ialah menyusun strategi kerana bunker pada padang yang kami gunakan sudah disusun mengikut keadaan sebenar di Melaka nanti. Ia merupakan satu peluang yang baik dari segi visualisasi pergerakan. Pemain tidak perlu lagi membuat visualisasi dalam minda bagaimana hendak bergerak kerana kami sudah pun menyusun bunker dan laluan yang akan digunakan oleh setiap pemain.

Dalam sukan melatih dalam keadaan sebenar adalah satu kelebihan. Ia merupakan satu latihan berbentuk adaptasi gelanggang. Pasukan-pasukan yang akan bermain di Melaka nanti sepatutnya mengambil kesempatan berlatih di Astaka ini sebagai penyesuaian. Sekurang-kurangnya kami sudah boleh nampak pergerakan masing-masing.

Yakuza merancang satu lagi latihan sebelum bermain di Melaka.

Hari ini aku telah pergi tengok satu tempat permainan paintball baru. Operasi tempat ni diuruskan oleh anak rakan sekerja aku dan dia telah menjemput aku untuk pergi tengok. Malangnya hari ni ia tutup dan tidak ada apa-apa aktiviti.

Tempat ini terpetak di dalam kampus UNITEN, Bangi. Tengok kat bannernya gelanggang ni diuruskan oleh Jugra Rangers. Lokasi gelanggang ini ialah berhampiran dengan Kompleks Sukan UNITEN. Ia terletak dalam satu kawasan yang terdapat pokok-pokok besar dan "bunker" terdiri dari drum-drum plastik dan juga pohon pokok. Walaupun setupnya untuk speedball tetapi kurang sesuai jika dijadikan venue latihan untuk pasukan speedball. Ia lebih berciri sebagai recreation sahaja.

Di samping itu juga terdapat target range untuk melatih ketepatan menembak.

Choose a team captain. Someone who is not too bossy knows what he is doing and has good strategy.

Stay low and don't just spray all your bullets
if you go in stealth and then get them all, return fire only even if its a death match...still return fire only, or do assassin style, quick and quiet. This is very hard and requires lots of practice.

Split up into 3 sections 2 big and one small. If one big section attack from the front ad distraction and cover fire. The second big team goes round the side and the last small team goes very quietly round the back returning fire only and avoiding detection.

I found that you can be very effective without all the extra pods. For an example if someone is ducking behind something, wait for them to expose himself instead of painting their shelter.

7 Paintball Tips: DON'T FLINCH KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL

I may not be the best paintballer out there, well not by a long shot but as I am leaving in 2 months form south Africa to go and join the British army I have in 4 years read and put in to practice a lot of tactics. The 1 I will always remember that I know def worked well in paintball for me was standing firm, most people are so hell bent on not getting hit that they will immediately try and seek cover from u and blind fire as they run away all I do is drop to 1 knee to decrease my target area and point straight at him/her I swear 90% of the time you will not get hit, as long as you follow a few rules you'll have them squealing like a stuffed pig!!!!!!!

1: this tactic is only for use at extreme close range IE CQB (CLOSE QUARTERS BATTLE)

2: have no fear: the moment you don't commit to the move your toast.

3: be faster: even if your playing a pro they prob wont be expecting this as long as you go to ground faster and acquire your target your safe. after the game they will be impressed. Even if you're the one taken out

4: size : the smaller the target the harder to hit it is. NOT so

5: target acquisition: find them fast fire before you have a bead on them.

6: concentrated fire: when u got em in your sites don't stop firing hit em hard...!!!!!

7: be flexible & stay safe

Target Practice- Ways to Improve Aim

In a game like paintball, it's crucial to have good aim. Without it, in a game where the enemy must be eliminated, a loss is certain without hitting targets. Good aim is a skill that is mastered over time, but it is a skill that can be honed from the beginning. There are some ways to practice aim prior to hitting the field. For those that have their own equipment, here are some drills to do from the backyard:

Hanging targets

Hang some targets, such as cans or bottles, from strings on tree branches, clothesline poles and other sturdy objects. The idea in this is that the targets will be of height of opponents in different positions. Let the wind be a natural obstacle, as it will mimic the opponent moving.

If this becomes easy, move back a few steps, further to one side or another, or choose smaller targets. This is a surefire way to build aiming skills.

Point Game

This is almost like solitaire for the paintball fanatic. Set up some different size targets in an area. Put a can here, a piece of wood there, and old doll over yonder, etc. Assign point values to each of them, and then load the gun with only a certain amount of balls. (Kind of reminiscent of that amusement park shooting range game, where players fire at objects that begin to move or make noise, such as a piano player or a rocking chair....)

Players should first set a goal of a certain score they hope to achieve. Once the round is fired off, add up the points. If the goal is met, congratulations! If not, practice makes perfect! Try again! This could be implemented to play between several people who would like to practice, each shooting a round and whoever has the highest score wins. While trying to reach a goal, this method of practicing also builds aiming skills.

Paintball Aiming Obstacle Course

Since shooting while moving is sometimes a necessity, aiming on the move also become something that needs to be practiced. For a more advanced way of practicing to hit objects, try moving at the same

time! Set up a small obstacle course with targets. Then, move through the course while shooting at the targets. Not only will this help aim, but also simply aid in getting the body used to moving through zigzags while using a weapon.

Snap Shoot

Shoot your opponents in a snap. Since you will be bunkering often, the best way to shoot would be to quickly come out of a bunker, shoot, and return to the bunker. This allows you to make a good, quick shot, while returning to a protected area.

Finding Flank

Just like you watch your own flank to make sure it is covered, watch your opponents for opportunity. If you are able to work your way into an opening in the flank of opposing players, perhaps you just may be able to eliminate a few.

Practice

What more can we say about aiming a paintball gun? Practice makes perfect. Play often as you can using these tips and find you game getting better. In addition, challenge teams better than you to a game. This will help your own game grow, as well as perhaps teach some new skills.

Speedball is a quick game and fun to play. Using these tips and tricks will help you hone your skills and allow you to be a successful player.

Never shoot your paintball gun twice!

When you get cover and your opponent knows were you are do not pop up twice. Pop up and fire on the opponent then cover again but switch sides. if it is a tree or some bunker that is small, fire from the other side.

The consequence of shooting from the same side is the opponent will wait for you to stick your head out and fire on you & has a good chance of hitting you. So do not shoot twice from the same spot.

MPOC 4th League telah tamat. Pertandingan pada 13 dan 14 Jun di Xtion Painbtall Bukit Jalil berjalan dalam keadaan cuaca yang cukup baik. Hujan yang tidak turun membantu menjadikan gelanggang agak selesa kepada semua pemain. Disamping itu keadaan yang berawan mengurangkan sedikit teriknya mentari.

Penonton memberikan sokongan. Kedudukan tempat penonton dirasakan kurang sesuai kerana berada di belakang gelanggang dan hanya memberikan sudut pandangan satu pasukan sahaja. Di samping itu ia agak merbahaya kerana netting yang sama tinggi dengan paras atas sekali tidak dapat menyekat pellet yang ditembak oleh pemain khususnya apabila pemain "laning" selepas breakout. Saya sendiri terkena pellet beberapa kali dan satu darinya terkena dan pecah di dada. Foto bawah menunjukkan kesan paint pada payung penonton yang duduk di paras kedua paling atas. Bagaimana jika pellet itu mengenai muka penonton?

Paintball is an exciting sport. It’s a chance to shake off your day-to-day responsibilities and rekindle your spirit of adventure. Once the adrenaline starts pumping, you can’t help but love the thrill of the game!

Paintball is usually played outdoors. There are many different game formats.

Physical size and strength is not as important as intelligence and determination. The ability to think quickly and decisively, as in a game of chess, is what will make you a star.

Paintball is also a character-building sport. Players learn the importance of teamwork and gain self-confidence while developing leadership abilities.

The number of players on each team can vary from four or five to more than five hundred on a side, the quantity limited only by the size of the playing field.games have time limits, depending on the number of players and the size of the field.

Referees on the field start and stop games, enforce the rule of fair play, and control the sport’s safety.

Win or lose, everyone has a good time, and there’s always the next game waiting for you!

Saya memperolehi maklumat ini dari sebuah blog dan ingin membantu menyebarkan bagi pengetahuan pelawat dan pembaca blog ini. Selepas satu permainan paintball tentunya dapat menyegarkan kembali badan dengan meneguk minuman sejuk dan biasanya ramai akan meneguk minuman dalam tin. Tidak ada salahnya tetapi minuman bergas (carbonated drinks) sebenarnya tidak baik diminum lebih-lebih lagi semasa sedang bersukan. Ini kerana minuman bergas ini mengandungi gas berkarbonat yang akan mempengaruhi darah dari segi penghantaran oksigen. Gas karbon ini menghalang oksigen dari diangkut oleh darah.

This is serious! This incident happened recently in North Texas. A women went boating one Sunday taking with her some cans of Coke which she put into the refrigerator of the boat. On Monday she was taken to the hospital and placed in the Intensive Care Unit. She died on Wednesday.

The autopsy concluded she died of Leptospirosis. This was traced to the can of Coke she drank from and not using a glass. Tests showed that the can was infected by dried rat urine and hence the disease Leptospirosis.

Rat urine contains toxic and deathly substances. It is highly recommended to wash the upper part of all soda cans before drinking out of them. The cans are typically stocked in warehouses and transported straight to the shops without being cleaned.

A study at NYCU showed that the tops of all soda cans are more contaminated than public toilets, i.e, full of germs and bacteria. So wash them with water before putting then to the mouth to avoid any kind of fatal accident.

Mungkin telah diketahui umum bahawa sukan paintball hendak diharamkan di German. Ianya kesan daripada perbuatan seorang remaja berusia 17 tahun telah menembak mati 15 orang sebelum menembak dirinya di Winnenden dalam bulan Mac lalu. Kerajaan German telah menerima tekanan untuk mengharamkan permainan itu. Ramai pengubal undang-undang melihat paintball sebagai satu simulasi cara-cara untuk membunuh seseorang tetapi bagi pemain paintball ia hanyalah satu bentuk sukan. Malah di German sukan ini tidak dibenarkan dimain oleh mereka berusia di bawah 18 tahun.

Bagi peminat sukan lasak ini di German tentu dapat menarik nafas lega apabila kerajaan negara itu bercadang untuk menarik balik larangan dan pengharaman permainan paintball itu. Ianya seperti dilaporkan di sini.

Hari ini hari pertama International Super Seven yang di adakan di Dataran PJ, Petaling Jaya. Bagi penonton adalah lebih mudah untuk pergi dengan menaiki RapidKL dan turun di stesen Taman Jaya. Tak payah fikir tentang nak parking kereta. Turun saja dari stesen dalam jarak tidak sampai 100 meter dah tiba di venue pertandingan.

Mungkin ini merupakan hari pertama, aksinya tidak begitu nampak sangat. Gerai-gerai pameran pun masih tidak rancak nampaknya. Beberapa paintball outlet mengambil bahagian. Aku pun tak ada mood untuk mengambil gambar. Maybe hari kedua dan ketiga akan lebih rancak.

Disamping gerai menjual peralatan paintball, terdapat juga pameran dari beberapa agensi kerajaan.

SECRETS TO WINNING AT PAINTBALL

Most team sports require teamwork, skill and planning. This can be seen in the winning teams of sports like basketball, football and hockey. The same approach can be taken to make a very good paintball team.

The best way to become a championship team is to know how to play both as a team and individually. It starts at practice where the team will learn to play both offense and in defense.

War games are simulated to emulate the real thing. A fort can be made and some members selected to protect it while the other group attacks. After each game, an assessment must be made so that any mistakes made can be corrected to make the team more efficient.

Aside from conducting some exercises within the group, other teams can be invited to participate in a practice to sharpen the skills before a tournament.

There are several ways that the exercise can end: by capturing the flag, eliminating all the members of the other group or waiting until the time expires. A good way to train the participants to move swiftly during an offensive is by agreeing to a time limit before the exercise begins...

The members should rotate the roles of offense and defense during training exercise as both will have to be used in a real game.

Marksmanship should also be part of training. The members must be able to hit both stationary and moving targets since both are necessary in an actual game where both sides have limited ammunition.

Since the exercise usually lasts from 30 minutes to an hour, the team should make every shot count. The players should only fire when there is a clear shot available rather than not being able to fire when it matters the most.

Stealth is another element needed to win the game of paintball. By being able to sneak up on the enemy first, the team can attack the enemy position before the opposing forces can mount a counterattack.

Learning to communicate using hand signals and sounds will prevent the other team from knowing what the team's plans are. By practicing all of these drills and scenarios in practice, the group will be ready to take on anyone in the league.

The secret to winning at paintball is not rocket science; it just takes a lot of practice so that each person knows what to do which will pay off during competition.

PAINTBALL TEAM STRATEGIES

So there you are just you and your best buddies, hip deep in the muck. You hear a twig snap, turn too late and you and your buddies are quickly covered in brightly colored paint circles. You've been fragged by the enemy. Even worse, you've been outsmarted by the enemy. It doesn't have to be this way.

You and your team need a strategy. Most paintballers ignore stealth and accuracy and instead focus on movement and firepower. That's their mistake, don't let it be yours. War is war. A battle is a battle. Some of the most brilliant minds in history from Genghis Kahn to General Macarthur have studied and improved the art of battle. Your paintballing experience will be well served if you'll learn from them.

Use a Sniper

Most paintballers do not understand sniper play and most paintballers discount accuracy. They favor movement and firepower. Of course firepower and forceful movement have their place on the paintball field just as they have their place in real combat. But how many times have powerful aggressive forces bogged down in long drawn out shooting matches. This is how Napoleon lost at Waterloo and Hitler lost in Russia. Of course an accurate, long distance shot with a paintball gun is just not in the realm of possibility. However, a well placed ambush sniper can pick your adversary apart after they pass. If your sniper is willing to belly-crawl into position he can get behind or beside the enemy force and pick them apart

Get yourself a good ghillie cape. All paint ball guns have about the same range so, your advantage is in getting closer to your enemy. If your paint gun, mask, and your pod belt are completely camouflaged in ghillie leaf, you'll have a significant advantage in the wooded margins of the battle field. If you're well camouflaged, the opposition will walk right by you without noticing you.

Consider purchasing a good red dot or holographic sight to make your first shots count. Make sure to use raised sight rails or special stocks to give your mask the clearance you'll need. Remember, a good sight will line you up with the target but, you still need to adjust for wind and drop over distance. Paintballs are not nearly as aerodynamic as a long, lean rifle bullet. A good Spyder paintball gun with raised sight rails and a holographic sight will put you at a definite advantage on the paintball field.

Clear, reliable, communication is one of the most important advantages in battle. Invest in good, well built radios for you and your team. Make sure the ear plugs are snug and don't fall out. Also make sure your radios are water resistant or water proof. A failure in communication between you and your team members could spell doom.

Now that you're well equipped, you just need wait for the whistle to blow. When it does, race your sniper into a position on the weak side. Have him place himself a little forward and a little to the side of the probable paths the enemy might take. It is vitally important that your enemy does not see your sniper move into position. Your sniper must be patient and allow the entire element to pass by. Once the enemy is fully committed to the siege, the noise and confusion of battle will provide adequate sound cover for him to begin picking them off one by one. A well hidden sniper can sideline many adversaries before they spot him, especially if he is willing to hold back and go quiet at the proper time. Just by letting the enemy pass by, in the first place, the enemy will be confused, as they fully expect that if someone is near, someone will be shooting at them. If they walk by and nobody fires at them, they become relaxed and assume they're in a safe area. Once, they make that assumption, you pick them off one by one.

The game of paintball is much more than paintball guns, paintball markers and other paintball gear. The mind and the plan are just as important as the equipment, even if you have laid out the bucks for a quality Spyder gun. If you prepare and plan properly, you can rest assured of a good day on the field of battle.

Tetapi apa yang dikesalkan ialah permainan paintball dipaparkan secara yang salah khususnya dari aspek keselamatan permainan itu. Inilah peralatan pertama yang aku beli sejak mula melibatkan diri dengan permainan lasak ini. Goggle yang dibeli ialah Dye Invasion 3.

Sebelum ini terpaksa menyewa goggle dari tempat latihan dengan RM 20 satu. Diambil kira secara jangka panjang memang menguntungkan membeli goggle sendiri. Disamping dapat menjimatkan RM20 setiap kali bermain, memakai goggle sendiri adalah lebih baik jika diambil kira masalah kebersihan. House goggle diguna oleh ramai pemain dan risiko terjangkit jangkitan kulit tetap ada.

Bagi kebanyakan pemain, goggle juga adalah peralatan pertama yang dibeli jika tidak dapat melengkapkan keseluruhan peralatan. Kini aku sudah ada goggle dan pant untuk paintball.

These are drills by Ollie Lang's Ironmen Team. I love to share with other paintballerz.

Welcome to the first of Seven Team Ironmen Drills. I've chosen these because I honestly believe they incorporate training in the most important aspects of the game.

Here we go!

Drill No1: One Ball Check In

Get two of the same bunkers, put them 5 yards apart facing each other. Get an opponent and each of you start tucked in behind your bunkers.

Pop out and snap shoot at each other only using one ball at a time.

Every time you shoot you have to check in (tuck in). You can come out post up and save your, shot but once you shoot you must check back in.

Do this with speed and quickness, if you get shot let your opponent know and keep doing it.

Learning to snap shoot accurately and quickly is one of the most important Paintball skills you can learn.

Drill No2 : Mirror Snapping drill

Set your Marker up fully with loader, barrel and tank. Get your self in front of a mirror lined up on the side so that you cannot see yourself. Slowly snap out and start to see when your elbow, loader, gun and mask become exposed. Fine tune this a few times and each time start doing it a little bit faster.

Once you start to snap fast enough, practice pulling the trigger, make sure the gun is off and every time the dark hole at the front of your barrel is pointed at the refection simulate shooting because that's were you would need to be pointed accurately in a real game scenario. I understand that this drill may seem different at first, but learning to snap correctly and quickly is one of the most important skills you need to master.

Drill No 3 : Running and Shooting

Set up a target 5 yards away in front of you, make sure you have about 5 yards distance on each side of you.

Mark with cone or anything that will be visible every five feet left and right of you.

There should be three sections 5 feet, start on the far right marker raise your gun and shoot at the target while you run to the first marker.

Then switch hands and run back to the starting point shooting at the target.

Repeat again but this time run to the second marker, switch hands again running and shooting back to the staring point.

Do it again, but now running to the final marker shooting at the target and do it again.

Running and Gunning with both hands will get you more kills. So learn to do it well!

Drill No 4 : Bunkering

Set up three or four cones behind a series of bunkers.

Start in a bunker shooting a target down field to symbolize putting your opponent in.

Launch from your bunker with your gun in the right hand and always point up barrel aimed right at the bunker where the cone is placed.

Shoot the first one, then immediately point your gun at the next bunker where most likely your opponent would be, then run and shoot the cone and repeat on to the last target.

Start with all the targets (cones) on the left hand side so that you use your right hand and opposite if you are left handed. Then switch the targets to the right and use your left hand.

Repeat numerous times then put two on the right and two on the left and practice switching hands from right to left and left to right while running and shooting.

Don't bunker using just one hand, it looks like you are flailing around and it not effective. Use proper form with both hand aiming down the barrel with the butt of the gun near your chin. Remember that practicing the correct techniques is the only way that it will become second nature when you are in the heat of the battle.

Drill No 5 :Death Alley: Reading the Stream

Stand fields distance away and have your friend or team mate shoot at you.

Have him give you a warning shot as to gauge the ball. Then have him say "live" and take a shot at you. Learn how to read the ball coming your way and dodge it.

Then set up a target in between the two of you. As he takes a shot, dodge it have your gun up and take two shoots at the target, once you shoot, he shoots again.

Being able to read your opponents shots is a valuable skill. This is one of the key aspects of your play that separates the Pros from the amateurs.

Drill No 6 : Two on Two Aggressive

Get four of your teammates, cut off half the field you are playing on usually the opposite side of the snake.

Start in your bunkers, you only have 30 seconds to move down field quickly and aggressively once you shot one player you only have ten seconds to move in on the last, note if it becomes one on one just play it out.

This drill is to master communication. The two should never lose to the one.

This is a great drill because it actually simulates real situations that happen often in games.

Drill No 7 : Attack the Snake

Get 6 of your teammates, this is a 3 on 3 drill using only the snake side of the field. Each team starts like they would at the break out.

It's a two-minute drill and all that matters is getting your player to the snake and obtaining it. If one team maintains control of it for ten seconds the drill is over, if both sides obtain it, it is a wash and one of the players needs to eliminate the other.

The other two players figure out how to protect their teammate and keep the opposition out of the snake.
